"If you want a cool place with a great vibe, nice staff, and really good food – Red House is for you. This is one of those places that Eric generally went to for drinks but usually ended up getting good food, too. Some might call it a restaurant – either way, we wanted to include it!"
"Red House is easily one of Eric favourite places to go for food and drinks in Kingston. Located on King Street East, Red House is this great upscale place for drinks and really good food. They don’t have a huge menu but their choices are always really good."
"Eric has been to the Merchant for food, sat on their patio, been there for events, and just gone with a buddy or two for pints. It’s also great because the place is located right by the Kingston waterfront making it an easy stop for a drink or a bite to eat. Inside, the Merchant is surprisingly large."
"The Brass has a great central location in Kingston, making it a favorite with both students and locals. The drinks here are pretty standard but they also serve decent food and the layout makes this a great choice for larger groups. Their flatscreens and TV wall projection screens are perfect for hockey season and the place also hosts live music every Sunday, Monday and Thursday."
"The Brass is one of those places that you go to because you know exactly what you are going to get. Located up on Princess Street in the Hub, the Brass has been frequented by Eric many, many, many times. He’s been for sports (which are great on their screens), wing deal night (wings are good but not great), live music (the Smitty days), and much more."
"Take a trip back in time to Tommy’s Diner located in downtown Kingston. With 50’s style decor, all-day breakfast and buttery, fluffy pancakes you will be making it a weekly staple in your summer plans"
"My friend and I share a mutual love of cheese fondue so we were super excited to find out that there was a place in Kingston to have fondue!. The restaurant is…”more"
"They were very aware of Covid 19 procedures, and the floor plan for this restaurant lends itself nicely to the proper spacing protocol. The menu is limit..."
"Just east of Ivy Lea, some 20km from Gananoque, a series of soaring bridges link Ontario to New York State, USA, over several islands. Halfway across, just before crossing the international border, this 130m-high observation tower offers fantastic views of the archipelago from two open decks, plus explanatory exhibits on a glass-enclosed deck. And yes, there's an elevator."
"Bellevue House is yet another National Historic Site of Canada. It was home to Canada’s first Prime Minister, Sir John Alexander Macdonald, from 1848 until 1849. It is noteworthy for its Italian Villa style of architecture, a non-symmetrical style at that."
"Chalmers United Church is a beautiful and impressive church in the historic heart of the city. It is located near the famous Queen's University on Clergy Street. This church was built in 1890 and is a Free Presbyterian Church."
