"Towards the back of the field along Montreal St is the Toddler Park (pictured above). This is completely gated in (have I mentioned that I love fenced in parks) and there is plenty of things to let the imagination run wild. I know lots of moms who consider this one of the best parks in Victoria."
"A weather station for 75 years, the observatory now stands as a scenic heritage building in the Gonzales Hill Regional Park. Toward sunset, make the quick walk up to the top for a breathtaking waterfront view."

"Boasting Victoria's only skate park, it's tons of fun to bring a scooter, skate board, or bike and ride around. If that's too dare-devil for your youngster, it's even fun to watch the older kids give it a go. Behind the skate park is a big field usually being used by a slo-pitch team and at the far end is the playground."
"Along the long shoreline of Sidney, this 2.5 km (1.5 mi) ‘Heart Smart Walk’ offers both locals and tourists a chance to explore the piers, jetties, parks, playgrounds, cafes, bars, restaurants, and distilleries around which offers panoramic views of the Gulf Islands and Salish Sea. This park is solely dedicated to the walkers and is where they can either walk their bike or opt for a faster activity through skating or skateboarding. As you stroll around this beautiful park, learn a bit of history regarding US and Canada territorial conflicts and their peaceful resolutions."

"Located in the bustling foodie zone of Rock Bay breweries and coffee roasters is one of the best artisan ice cream makers in Victoria!. All the ice creams are made in house, in small batches, using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. Parachute Ice Cream think outside the box in terms of flavours – some of our favorites include London Fog, Whiskey Hazelnut, Rhubarb Crumble, and Lemon Cream."
"A taste of East Africa located in Esquimalt; Blue Nile offers plenty of flavourful vegan dishes and meat dishes alike. One can choose from a selection of vegan dishes from the buffet ($14.95), or enjoy vegetarian menu items (all of which are vegan) including the Vegetarian Combo (a mix of lentils, cabbage, and vegetables $10.95), Bursen Tumtumo ($10.95), Ater Tumtumo ($10.95), and Hamli Zebhi ($10.95). "This pizzeria on Wharf Street offers a wide selection of meat- and veggie-based pizzas made with local ingredients for cheap. Address: 1219 Wharf Street, VictoriaPhone: 250-389-2226"
"Vegetarian and vegan food was once hard to find but now everyone wants to eat more vegetables and cut back on meat. Owners James Davison and Tania Friesen opened this shop in February 2017 and it’s so that good meat eaters are flocking here to try plant-based dishes like vegan poutine, burgers with flax mayo and house made “cheez.”. I loved the jackfruit “ribs” and even the rice paper bacon but the tempeh bacon was a tough sell."
"When The Very Good Butchers set up shop in the Victoria Public Market a few years ago, they had to close early on their first day as they promptly sold out of everything. Safe to say, the demand for a vegan butcher in this city is high. From “sausages,” to “pepperoni,” to “ribs,” The Very Good Butchers sell everything that a typical butcher might—the only difference is all of their products are 100% plant-based."
"With so many reasons to go vegan — from environmental to ending cruelty to animals – many people are choosing a plant-based diet. Vegan butcher shops are like rare gems waiting to be found in select urban centres around the world. Lucky for me, we have the Very Good Butchers take-out counter right downtown, located in the Victoria Public Market."
