"In addition to being a National Historic Landmark, Government House is the official residence of British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governors who are Her Majesty’s representative in British Columbia. The house itself is not open to the public but the spectacular gardens are. Are you beginning to understand why we are known as The Garden City – we seriously love our flowers, fountains and manicured green spaces!"
"Built in 1860, the Government House is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. Green thumbs rejoice, the grounds’ 36 acres are divided into numerous zones according to plant life and garden style. A seasonal tea house is the perfect pit stop for a steaming cup of herbal tea and pastries."
"Along the long shoreline of Sidney, this 2.5 km (1.5 mi) ‘Heart Smart Walk’ offers both locals and tourists a chance to explore the piers, jetties, parks, playgrounds, cafes, bars, restaurants, and distilleries around which offers panoramic views of the Gulf Islands and Salish Sea. This park is solely dedicated to the walkers and is where they can either walk their bike or opt for a faster activity through skating or skateboarding. As you stroll around this beautiful park, learn a bit of history regarding US and Canada territorial conflicts and their peaceful resolutions."
"This little hidden gem may be hard to find but it's definitely worth the search!. Tucked in below Wharf Street, this harbour-level patio is as close as you can get to the water without getting wet!. Staff and management are extremely friendly and happy hour specials are offered weekdays from 3-5pm.Pro Tip: The Victoria Harbour Ferry stops right in front of Lido and is a perfect post-meal way to spend the afternoon!"

After encountering the Royal BC Museum’s majestic woolly mammoths, saunter over to Noodlebox to fill up on Southeast Asian street food. Noodlebox is able to accommodate those with dietary restrictions by substituting ingredients in their delicious dishes for their customers."
"Quick and funky, the Noodle Box is a great place to get filled up without emptying your wallet. The pan-Asian menu starts out with comforting favorites like spring rolls and fried dumplings. Soups, curries and stir-fries make up the remainder of the menu."
"This pizzeria on Wharf Street offers a wide selection of meat- and veggie-based pizzas made with local ingredients for cheap. Address: 1219 Wharf Street, VictoriaPhone: 250-389-2226"
"Vegetarian and vegan food was once hard to find but now everyone wants to eat more vegetables and cut back on meat. Owners James Davison and Tania Friesen opened this shop in February 2017 and it’s so that good meat eaters are flocking here to try plant-based dishes like vegan poutine, burgers with flax mayo and house made “cheez.”. I loved the jackfruit “ribs” and even the rice paper bacon but the tempeh bacon was a tough sell."
"When The Very Good Butchers set up shop in the Victoria Public Market a few years ago, they had to close early on their first day as they promptly sold out of everything. Safe to say, the demand for a vegan butcher in this city is high. From “sausages,” to “pepperoni,” to “ribs,” The Very Good Butchers sell everything that a typical butcher might—the only difference is all of their products are 100% plant-based."
"With so many reasons to go vegan — from environmental to ending cruelty to animals – many people are choosing a plant-based diet. Vegan butcher shops are like rare gems waiting to be found in select urban centres around the world. Lucky for me, we have the Very Good Butchers take-out counter right downtown, located in the Victoria Public Market."
