Where to Eat Good Fast Food in Hamilton, ON
"Sankofa Dining is located in the heart of Corktown, Hamilton Ontario, a warm friendly experience blended with chic culture. We specialize in authentic home style meals and an elevated modern twist to casual dining."
"This 90 year-old local staple is the very definition of a classic. Grilling up some of the city’s best hotdogs in their original vintage digs since 1930, Easterbrook’s has been enjoyed time and time again by countless Hamiltonians for generations. Though known for their sizeable menu of legendary footlong hotdogs dressed in a wide variety of toppings, Easterbrook’s doesn’t stop there; they’ve also got homemade burgers, fries, and ice cream perfect for a summer picnic in the park."
"When it comes to the perfect location in Hamilton for a craft brewery, MERIT nailed it. Another newcomer within the past year, this brewery is located right at James and Wilson across from the August 8 plaza. This one’s for the real craft beer nerds as they are constantly experimenting with their brews and do little to appeal to the casual beer fan."
"Merit Brewing first opened in May, 2017 and was founded by Tej Sandhu, Aaron Spinney, and Jesse Vallins. Tej and Aaron met in Hamilton while attending school. After their careers had them living apart the duo decided the time was right to create the brewery they dreamed of years ago."
"The popular craft brewery was founded collaboratively by Ram McAllister, formerly of Hoyne Brewing Co, Brent Milcz, formerly of Boshkung Brewing Co. and Niagara College grad, and Dan Ryan, a passionate home brewer with over a decade of experience in chemical engineering. Sean and Ram worked together in Victoria, British Columbia and had discussed opening a brewery in Ontario for years. When an opportunity presented itself in 2015, Sean expanded his brewery, leaving some start-up size equipment unused."
"At this time, Fairweater Brewing’s main concern is for frontline healthcare workers, and the most vulnerable members of the community. During these uncertain times, Fairweather has decided to suspend all operations (including delivery) until further notice. Please keep checking their website and their Instagram & Facebook posts."
"Probably one of the most popular and most recognizable waterfalls in Hamilton, Webster’s Falls is part of the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area. Access to the bottom of Webster’s Falls is no longer permitted, but the waterfall can be viewed from a lookout platform, which is wheelchair accessible. There are other viewpoints along the trail, but the trail is not wheelchair or stroller friendly."
"Other noteable waterfalls nearby: Darnley cascade, Borer’s Falls. Nearby trails: Bruce Trail (Some access across private property is restricted). If you’re looking for a great two-for-one, Websters Falls and Tews Falls aren’t too far apart."
"This classic plunge-style waterfall is a must-visit on any trip to the Spencer Gorge area. While it's only 22 metres tall, the ability to hike above Spencer Creek and the falls offers one of the most beautiful vistas in all of Hamilton."
"Borer’s Falls is a 49 foot (15 metre) waterfall that runs into Borer’s Creek which is a tributary that feeds the west pond of Cootes Paradise. It’s surrounded by lush, green trees and vegetation in the summer months and has a tremendous flow during the wetter months. It usually runs year round but can slow to just a trickle during drier times."
"Borer’s Falls, also known as Rock Chapel Falls, is a 15 metre (49 foot) high curtain waterfall, and its source is the Borer’s Creek. This waterfall used to power the Rock Chapel Village Sawmill. The sawmill was owned and operated by the Borer family, which is how the waterfall and creek got their names."
"(Or maybe it only seems like a hidden gem because we’re from the other end of the city?) Either way, it’s a waterfall that’s not to be missed!. Located in Waterdown, it’s an impressive waterfall, whether you view it from the lookout platform, or take the trail down and view the waterfall from below. The path continues along the creek for awhile and is part of the Bruce Trail."
"And I’m not picking favourites here, but I’ve saved one of the best for last. The Smokey Hollow Waterfall is one of most easily accessible Hamilton waterfalls. Technically, this waterfall is in the town of Waterdown, between Dundas and Burlington."
"The Pearl Company is a two-floor creative arts hub, housing performance, event, rehearsal and exhibition spaces. The company is committed to presenting work that draws on all of the arts, including music, visual art, dance, film, spoken word and theatre. The Pearl is home to two different galleries, showcasing work created almost exclusively by Hamilton artists."
