Best Overall Restaurants in Toronto
"Another Davisville hot spot, Lola Sushi is a casual joint serving up Japanese and Korean fare under the same roof. Appetizers including soups, salads, sushi pizzas and gyoza are all around the $5 range; two pieces of nigiri are less than $5, and sashimi averages between $5-$6 for three pieces. The specialty maki are even better priced, all between $8-$10 except for the few outlanders like the lobster tempura roll for $10.95, but that’s the most expensive you’ll find on the menu."
"An iPad ordering system makes mealtime seamless, and prices based on kids’ ages ($1.30 per year of age for dinner and $1.20 at lunch) make AYCE sushi and dim sum more affordable at this Chinatown spot."
"A post shared by Some Guy Dylan (@someguydylan) on Feb 29, 2020 at 9:13am PST. Welcome to The Dime, one of the most recent additions to the restaurant and bar scene in Toronto, known for its cheap dishes and an amicable ambiance. The good news is you can enjoy generous portions of all their food items priced at a modest 4.95 USD."
"Comparable to its counterparts — El Furniture Warehouse and Queen Street Warehouse — consider The Dime the older, cooler cousin. These premium dive bars host $5.95 meals all day, every day. Although the drinks come in at a normal bar price, this is one of the cheapest bars for good food in Toronto."
"Love Child Social House combines business and pleasure at this intimate and fun 7,500-square-foot historical building located in a trendy King West neighborhood. It bills itself as “a collaborative work & social space for entrepreneurs, events, workshops and nightlife.” At Love Child, the building is used as an office front type work environment dedicated to serving creatives, entrepreneurs, business owners and people who work remotely. The place looks like a hip, millennial version of Soho House – but with less polished wood, and no restrictions on what you can wear or do with your phone."

"Kensington Natural Bakery has operated since 1980, and they have lots of vegan, gluten-free and keto baked goods. They also have products suitable for many allergies. This is a vegetarian bakery, but it’s extremely vegan friendly."
"DaanGo means “cake” in Cantonese and they’ve taken cuteness to the max with their selection of cartoon character macarons, pun-tastic pastries and visually stunning cakes. In addition to their adorable creations, come here for their unexpected flavours such as Vietnamese coffee, roasted milk tea, Ovaltine, pandan coconut and durian. Also, don’t forget their scrumptious cookies!"
"The Midland Avenue outpost of Daan Go specializing in cakes always has incredible new designs ready to go. Seasonal creations vary but there are mind-boggling signatures like a durian-shaped Gold Thorn or cake topped with Chef Siu’s must-try macarons. View this post on Instagram"
"Speaking of bread-like desserts, there’s also this gorgeous spot to check out. You can order handcrafted strudels right to your door all season long. The sweet and flakey dessert is perfect as a gift or for treating yourself."

"East-side luncheonette with an Irish heart (and a killer soda bread recipe), reopened 2008. Ash Farrelly, owner: I am what you would call a professional waitress. I was born into this business – three generations, both sides of my family, owned pubs or small hotels throughout Ireland."
"The George Street Diner, Toronto|Courtesy of Fran's Restaurant. Diners are always great places to get your food fix and The George Street Diner is no exception. Located on the corner of Richmond and George, the diner is a cozy, yet upbeat stop."
"This place has such a classic look, it’s actually been used as a filming location. Come relax in a star-studded red booth and enjoy some comfort food to comfort you in your comparable lack of fame. Where: 129 George St"
