Awesome Photography locations around Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara
"Sam Lawrence Park offers up the most incredible skyline views of Hamilton, whether you’re visiting during the day or at night. It’s one of my favourite spots to visit in Hamilton – it’s a view you’d never get sick of looking at!. You can park right in front of the viewpoint, then take a little walk around to see the pretty florals and greenery surrounding the park."
"Sam Lawrence Park holds beautiful views of Burlington Bay and city skyline. Around the premises there a variety of wildflowers, rocks paths, and gardens."
"As with Albion Falls, there is no access to the falls from below, however Buttermilk Falls can be seen from the Bruce Trail. To reach Buttermilk Falls, park at Oak Knoll Park and walk a short distance along the Bruce Trail side trail (there is a map at the edge of the parking lot). Alternatively, Buttermilk Falls is only a short walk from Albion Falls, along either a paved trail that follows the road or along the Bruce Trail side trail (which has amazing views of the Red Hill Valley).Type: RibbonHeight: 23 metres (75 feet)Cost: Free"
"Buttermilk Falls could be considered a hidden gem but it’s far from hidden as it sits under a bridge on Mountain Brow Blvd near Limeridge Rd on the East mountain. It is more correct to say it is just overshadowed by the more popular Albion Falls which is less than 1 minute up the road by car. Buttermilk Falls is approximately 75 feet high (23 metres) and runs almost year round."
"Continuing to head west, we had to make a stop for one of the most popular waterfalls in the whole area: Albion Falls. Honestly, it did not disappoint. This massive waterfall (seen from a distance if you park where we did) is made up of many little “steps” and layers so the water cascades down and down into the pool below."
"If exploring trails isn’t your forte, consider Waterdown Memorial Park. Complete with baseball diamonds, a playground for the little ones, a skate park, and a splash pad during the summer Waterdown Memorial Park is the perfect get away from your Hamilton condo. Be sure to visit in the winter and try out the awesome sledding hill: perfect for getting some serious speed on the powder!"
"Waterdown Memorial Park is a popular sports park featuring a lit soccer/football field, four softball fields, play equipment, a wading pool, a park shelter, parking, and washrooms. Little ones will love the sprinklers and misters. The surface is concrete and parts are rubberized concrete."
"41 Mountain Brow Blvd. between Concession St. and Upper Ottawa Bill Foley Parkette is a lookout area that offers a wonderful view of the central east area of the city. Seating and parking are provided."
"237 Manitou Way, Ancaster Optimist Park, home of the Optimist Youth Centre, is a neighbourhood park with trees, benches, and a playlot with a large creative play structure and swings. Parking and washrooms are on site."
"255 Glen Road Churchill Park is a large park developed on land belonging to the Royal Botanical Gardens. It offers several activities, including lawn bowling, soccer and softball fields, a spray pad, and a playground with an accessible play structure."
"A rare meromictic lake, a 15th century reconstructed longhouse village, and over 19 km of trails. Crawford Lake is steeped in science, history, and beauty. Note: Longhouses are open weekends and holidays only Labour D"
"Crawford Lake not only has a beautiful boardwalk surrounding the lake, but it also has an open field if you’re willing to trek through a small bushy area. It’s completely open has offers beautiful views of the sunset."
"Aside from being a brewery, Merit Brewing is also a bottle shop and a kitchen that offers good food. They work hard to represent the art and character of Hamilton in each food, each beer as well as every experience they share with people. Their culinary and brewing techniques are inspired by the tradition that pushes aromas and flavors to speak on why they brew."
