150 Things to Do in Victoria BC in 2020
"Best For – The Quintessential Luxury Victoria hotel experience. The ‘Grande Dame’ of Victoria’s hotels and certainly her most iconic, if you’re looking for luxury hotels in Victoria you won’t want to miss the Fairmont Empress. Owned by Canadian chain Fairmont hotels (although recently acquired by the Accor group), the Empress hotel is a slice of Victoria’s history – in fact this is the famous hotel in Victoria, BC. This Edwardian era Chateau is set right on the edge of the inner harbour with views out across Victoria’s waterfront."
"When most people think afternoon-tea, they think fine china, scones, tiny-cucumber sandwiches, and decadent desserts. With butter-filled pastries, this age-old British-tradition might seem far from vegan-friendly, but surprisingly, the Fairmont Empress Hotel is able to accommodate 32 different dietary restrictions (sugar-free, gluten-free, vegan, whatever your heart desires). I highly recommend the Afternoon Tea at the Empress for a special occasion or a girls day out!"
"This stunning 55-acre garden and National Historic Site has been drawing visitors since it was started in a limestone quarry in 1904."
"An icon from the mid-1800s, St. Ann’s is a magnificent historic treasure older than both The Empress Hotel and the Parliament Buildings."
"All natural with absolutely nothing artificial and utilizing seasonal, organic and local ingredients – with something for every dietary restriction. There are dairy free (coconut milk) “ice creams”, (unofficially) “gluten-free” ice cream sandwich cookies (almond flour & meringue), vegan pints and a vegan ice cream sandwich, and diabetic friendly sugar-free ice cream (made with xylitol). The location has days where you can make a custom ice cream sandwich with our favorite Empire Donut, for an out-of-this-world treat."
"This coffee shop is way less in your face than either Habit or Discovery coffee and it has a little bit of old world class to it that those other two places don’t have. Like Habit, Macchiato has another older location, this one is in Old Town and is also very nice, though quite small. What I love about Macchiato is the high ceilings and despite being in a relatively new space, the cafe feels timeless."
"Thank you so much Carissa for your special attention for Market Collective (Bay Centre) on 2021Apr12!. Also your coffee shop is amazing with friendly staf..."
"I have been ordering pizza from this place, for over 20 years. (Back when it was Canadian 2 for 1). I have never had one disappointed experience."
"Enter the world of Chiba Sushi and find friendly staff and the best place in Victoria to get reasonably priced quality sashimi, sushi and cooked dishes. Chiba Sushi, located in downtown Victoria (corner of Government and Hillside) and features our Sushi bar and Tatami room with 65 seats. We have been in operation since 2007 under new a new chef and owners."
"We serve only the freshest ingredients that are both nutritious and delicious. We prepare our menu items quickly to minimize your wait time and delight in good service. We offer many types of sushi and can create party trays for your event."
"This little restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood as well as other Japanese restaurant staples. If you're craving traditional sushi and not wanting to break the bank, Sushi Time Express is another local gem to add to your repertoire!"
"The decor is so cute and the food is amazing at a good price!. The couple who work there are extremely friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend."
