"Our original plan was to have lunch at the Lake House at Maligne Lake and then have dinner at the Maligne Wilderness Kitchen. However, our waffles from the Waffle Hut filled us up so much that we changed our plan and had lunch at the Maligne Wilderness Kitchen and then headed into Jasper for dinner instead. But, if you are hungry for more than a waffle while at Maligne Lake, the Lake House is owned and operated by the same company as the Waffle Hut and Maligne Wilderness Kitchen so I would expect the food to be quite good."
"The Crazy Elk Café, inside Lobstick Lodge, is a coffee shop that serves Starbucks beverages as well as salads, sandwiches and baked goods that make an easy meal for the grab-and-go crowd. The café is in the hotel lobby and is open only from 7am to 11am. Don’t miss the faux mounted deer head with golden antlers that doubles as a clever light fixture."
"An offshoot of the original Bear's Paw bakery around the corner, the Other Paw offers the same addictive mix of breads, pastries, muffins and coffee – while also serving up tasty sandwiches, salads, soups and... Bakery in Jasper Town & Around"
"Ride the Jasper Sky Tram for views across Jasper National Park, then stop at the Jasper-Yellowhead Museum for an introduction to the area’s history. Pick up a picnic at Bear’s Paw Bakery and drive to Maligne Canyon to hike through the deep limestone gorge."
"Due to its remoteness and overall lack of development, Jasper boasts amazing views of the stars, galaxies, and constellations often difficult to see in more urban areas. If you’re an amateur stargazer or just prefer comfortable reclining seats to craning your neck or laying on the cold ground, then the Jasper Planetarium is one of the best things to do in Jasper that you won’t want to miss. Located in Jasper National Park, the planetarium’s trained guides will lead you on a virtual tour of the galaxy and explain a few of those mysteries of modern science, like the aurora borealis – or northern lights."
"Located in the historic Astoria Hotel, The De'd Dog is Jasper's favorite pub. Come down and rub shoulders with locals and visitors from around the world. Cheer on your team on one of our many large screen TV's, play pool and darts or just relax on the patio that offers beautiful mountain views."
"De’d Dog Bar, or “Dead Dog” is an institution in the Town of Jasper. It’s a dive bar that locals always head to, but tourists will love it as well!. There’s ample seating in here and a long bar to enjoy late into the night in the summer."
"Patricia and Pyramid Lakes are two gorgeous twins located just northwest of Jasper townsite. Patricia Lake is named after Princess Patricia of Connaught, granddaughter of Queen Victoria. The lake even contains a WWII wreck and underwater memorial plaque that divers can visit."
"This one is right next to Pyramid Lake and is another good one to head for your summer needs. Come here to enjoy the backdrop of Pyramid mountain, or go for a swim!. With a national park license, you can even go fishing here!"
"A post shared by Jasper, Canada (@tourismjasper) on Aug 5, 2016 at 9:29pm PDT. Marvel at the allure of billions of stars while surrounding yourself with mountain peaks and glaciers. While considered one of the most beautiful hikes in the summer months, it is also a spectacular spot to look up into the universe."
