"The only brewery properly located in the downtown core, Yaletown Brewing earns some credit for the longstanding history of the brand and the fact they do take home a number of awards every now and then. It also happens to be a consistently busy location, something that is a rare find in Yaletown."

"Owned and operated by husband & wife team, David (Brewer) and Nicole (Operations), Powell Brewery opened as a nano (smaller than a micro) brewery in 2012 and the team quickly took home a 2013 Canadian “Beer of the Year” from the Canadian Brewing Awards for their Old Jalopy Pale Ale. Since then the selection has grown to include inventive flavors such as wheat beer with ginger and cardamom, cascara (coffee cherry) brews and gluten-free ciders. Check out the Tasting Room at 1357 Powell Street to try the classic Old Jalopy Pale Ale and some of the seasonal sips."
"Award winning brewery and couple-owned (sweet), Powell never disappoints. With a rustic vibe and a all seasons patio, their beer continuously pleases. We also, of course, love supporting mom and pop shops like this independent microbrewery."
"Powell’s Old Jalopy Pale Ale is still one of the best core beers that Vancouver has. Powell maintains a difficult balance of an established and consistent regular lineup and creative seasonal and experimental offerings."
"These guys are trailblazers in North Van’s new brewery scene, so on that alone they deserve a spot on this list. But, they’ve also got fantastic beer selection with rotating taps, fun collaborations, and the best catchphrase. Have a Beere this week, folks!"
