"Little Brick is a cute cafe that’s actually inside a super old house!. Found near the River Valley, this cafe has one of the first winter patios in Edmonton. "Most of the dishes at the downtown Jasper Ave location are meat-free or can be made meat-less. The chana masala wrap uses chickpeas for protein; you can also order a vegan chicken chana wrap or vegan coconut chicken, made with chunks of soy. And, the vegetarian and vegan-friendly samosas always hit the spot."
"Remedy Cafe is one part Indian and Pakistani restaurant, one part coffee bar. If the hit TV show ‘Friends’ was filmed in Edmonton, the cast would gather daily at the Jasper Avenue location. Their legendary house-made chai pairs well with either a sabhji masala or butter chicken wrap."
"The 'remedy' here is cheap, authentic Indian food served in an ultra-casual cafe – meaning you can use wi-fi with one hand and dip your naan in curry sauce with the other. Everyone raves about the chai and butter..."

"Cafe Bicyclette is a newer Edmonton Cafe we’ve tried and I’m so glad we did. It’s in a french community so if you speak french they do have a french and English menu for you to choose from. I loved their breakfast food so much and will get if over and over again."

"Northern Edmontonians have the honour of enjoying the best pitas the city has to offer right in their ‘hood at Sunbake Pita Bakery. This middle-eastern style bakery isn’t just famous for their pitas, the fatayers, an Arab meat pie, are known across the city for their high quality and great flavours. We recommend stopping in this north-side shop and grabbing some pitas and meat pies, even if you live in the south side of Edmonton."
"Officially opening in 1913 as a residence for Alberta’s Lieutenant Governors, Government House was designed by Architect R.P. Blakey under the direction of A.M. Jeffers, Chief Architect of the Alberta Legislature Building, and constructed by the Department of Public Works. Designed in the Jacobean Revival style with Scottish Baronial elements, the three story sandstone building is grand in scale with asymmetrical façades, decorations, bay windows, balconies, and high gabled roofs with dormers."
"Probably your first thought when you see this structure, and the Government House is definitely that. Granted, it was originally built to house the Lieutenant Governors of Alberta but has since been repurposed to use for things such as Government ceremonial events, conferences and more. This would make for a great shooting location due to the Jacobean style of the building, something rarely seen in Edmonton."
"This opulent mansion was the former residence of the lieutenant governor but is now used for government conferences and receptions. It is steeped in history and immaculately preserved – you'd never guess it's..."

"Start off this walk at a nearby downtown coffee shop and get yourself a warm drink to-go, then head to the Instagram-worthy 100 Street Funicular, which gives easy access by way of two elevators into the river valley trail system. Next, you’ll cross the historic steel low-level bridge and dip back under the bridge to start off on the trail next to the river. Most of the south side path winds its way through beautiful tree covered trails, encountering two tiny neighbourhoods nestled off of Scona Road."
"As the funicular climbs up the river valley’s steep incline, you’ll be able to get tons of shots of that incredible view from multiple different angles!. Operating year-round, the glass-walled elevator ride takes about a minute to bring you from downtown to a spot halfway into the valley; the perfect photo vantage point. There’s also a lookout reaching farther over the whole valley so you can snap views that your followers will go crazy for."
"If you have this fascination with stairs, it’s a must that you visit the 100 Street Funicular. From here, you can have views of the famed Hotel Macdonald, the Edmonton skyline and the river valley below. View this post on Instagram"
