Visit Vancouver's Best Asian Restaurants and Taste the Flavor
"Alberni St. downtown is where you’ll find stores selling expensive things like diamond rings and Louis Vuitton dog beds, and it’s also where you’ll find Kirin. This Chinese restaurant has been around for over 30 years and looks sort of like a hotel lobby, even though it’s actually one of the best dim sum restaurants in the city. They don’t have the traditional carts here, so choose a bunch of things off their menu - the barbecue pork buns, prawn dumplings and egg tarts are must-orders - and book ahead."
"Dim sum fans should make a reservation at Kirin, a restaurant renowned for its award-winning dumplings. Ng recommends the chicken abalone steamed bun and the pork siu mai, which is made with hand-chopped meat. Preparing the pork this way is rare, she says, and gives it a distinct “contrasting crunchy and succulent texture” that stands out – even in a city that excels at Chinese cuisine."
"Praised by critics as one of the best premium Chinese dining experiences-exquisite seafood dishes in a warm, authentic and elegant atmosphere. Open for lunch and dinnerDress code: Shirt/Slacks Req.Phone: +1 604-682-8833"
"Residing at the heart of downtown Vancouver’s financial district, the Heritage Asian Eatery is actually a counter-service restaurant. They serve the delicious flavours brought straightaway from the Far-East, it is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. Prepared with local ingredients and traditional techniques, getting a taste of these delicious delicacies is indeed blissful."
"Heritage Asian Chorizo Sausage and Shiitake Mushrooms Baos (Hanna McLean/Daily Hive). Chef Felix Zhou’s new Asian-inspired breakfast and lunch counter-service restaurant is open in Vancouver’s Financial District, and his second Mount Pleasant spot should be opening soon. Grab a bao and an order of this spot’s signature wings and see what all the fuss is about."
"Chef Felix Zhou makes Bao buns at the Heritage Asian Eatery in Vancouver. Ben Nelms/The Globe and Mail. Quick-service casual is the fastest-growing dining segment in North America and we're bound to see much more of it."
"Dynasty boasts twinkling chandeliers, views over the city from its first-floor perch on West Broadway, and, thanks to chef Sam Leung, some of the city’s best modern Chinese food. Open daily from 10 a.m. for dim sum, its standouts are the buttery barbecue pork cha siu bao with baked lemon, and the silky, wafer-thin dumplings stuffed with fresh shrimp, scallops, and black truffles."

"Dungeness crab, Atlantic lobster and Alaskan king crab are selected with equal care at Landmark Hot Pot, and the accompanying sticky fried rice is the best you’ll ever eat: raw rice is soaked and wok-fried painstakingly slowly, water added little by little until the grains are perfectly toothsome. Overlook the faded ’80s decor: an excellent late-night menu draws visiting Hong Kong celebrities and music stars. 4023 Cambie St., landmarkhotpot.com"
"Another gem in Vancouver’s crown of great eateries is Cafe Gloucester. Offering a delightful menu of Hong Kong-style dishes, as well as amazing comfort food options, this is a popular spot for those who love variety and a good solid meal. Try their Pan Fried Minced Pork and String Beans, the Stir Fried Seafood and Vegetables, the Szechuan Style Hot and Spicy Chicken, or a heaping plate of Chicken Chow Mein."

"The third sight-seeing location was Lighthouse Park along the coast and displayed Vancouver city in the distance. At last, our final, spur of the moment location was a view of BC Place (Vancouver’s Whitecap’s Stadium). We walked around Vancouver and ended up overlooking a gorgeous nighttime view of the cityscape. Most of Day 2 was spent with our friends, taking photos and playing tourist throughout Vancouver."
"Be sure to also check out the Vancouver Aquarium, the famous Stanley Park, and the VanDusen Botanical Gardens. 20 Day 2: take a ferry over to Vancouver Island"
"I’ve been told the Vancouver Aquarium is pretty impressive as well although that would require entering before the building’s 5pm closing time."

All-day breakfast is the name of the game here, and that means you can order this spot’s buttermilk or pulled pork pancakes for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Head through an unmarked door and step into this “drinking den.” The basement bars in notorious for good times and good drinks – after all, it’s only open Thursday to Saturday. This spot also boasts Hon’s dumplings, table service, live music, and DJs."
"The Opus Bar—part of the Opus Hotel—is the pinnacle of Yaletown's nightlife. Uber-fashionable and upscale, this celebrity haunt boasts gourmet cocktails and "O bites" and live music from some of Vancouver's best DJs. This is a very "see and be seen" scene."
