"Though technically a sandwich shop, Farrow is the only cafe in Edmonton dedicated to pour-over coffee—and they do it right. Just a few blocks down from Transcend Garneau, the tiny space serves a rotating selection of up to ten different roasters, which on a recent visit included Heart, Parlor, Stumptown, Madcap, Flat Track, Kuma, Bows & Arrows, Matchstick, and Anchored. Curating this selection is serious business, according to manager Justin Benson, who tells me, “We will not offer a coffee for retail sale or have it on the pour-over bar unless our entire coffee staff (four people) agree it deserves to be there.” Farrow brews their “slow coffee” using a variety of methods—V60, Chemex, syphon, AeroPress—and they also offer “fast coffee,” batch brewed in a FETCO."
"If you’re craving for sandwiches, then Farrow has the best selection for your tastebuds. From waffle sandwiches to subs, you’ll find an array of picks that are filling and delicious. Their Grick sandwich is their bestseller and for a good reason."
"A post shared by Farrow (@farrowsandwiches) on Jun 3, 2020 at 9:34am PDT. Farrow focuses on just 2 things and does those 2 things rather well. On their rotating menu you’ll find just sandwiches and coffee – what more could your working day need?"
"The Lingnan has been serving up great meals since 1947, and they have no plans to stop. Whether you order off the menu or take advantage of the buffet, you won’t leave hungry. Just minutes from Rogers Place, it’s the place to grab dinner before a game or show; while they’re normally closed Tuesdays, they’re open during regular season home games."
"First on the list is The Lingnan Restaurant that was established in 1947 in Edmonton. The Lingan is a well-known eatery serving Chinese fare in an ornate traditional setting. As Chinese food gains popularity in the city the Quon Brothers, owners of The Lingan, decided to expand and move into their current location in 1963."
"They know that good food starts with good ingredients, so they start with the freshest and highest quality ingredients in the kitchen. Life’s tomato bruschetta mix is definitely a local favourite."
